Why do you choose a bald look?

First, I'm healthy, I have Alopecia (pronounced Alo-pee-shah) - it's an autoimmune condition that causes hair to fall out in small patches. My immune system attacks my hair follicles, resulting in hair loss. I rock my baldie look, and I love it. Learn more here: I was interviewed in Allure Magazine.

While packages start at $3,500 for smaller weddings, and peak towards about $8,100. The average initial investment is $5,500 which includes 8 hours wedding day coverage, a complimentary engagement/portraits photoshoot, an album, and professionally curated digital files of your wedding.

What do you wear for weddings?

Myself and my 2nd shooters wear professional dress pants and a blouse/dress shirt, or a dress are our go-to outfits, with classy, but comfy, shoes. We try our best to blend in, the focus of the day is on you!

How does payment work? Is there a payment plan?

I require a 25% retainer due at signing to make sure you have your wedding date locked in with me. You'll also need to sign an electronic contract.

After these two steps are completed, your date is officially locked in and we split the balance into multiple payments (most couples usually choose 2-3 payments). Your last payment is due 2 weeks prior to your wedding. I offer a 10% discount if you pay all of it upfront.

For portraits, your last payment is due 6 days before your photoshoot. And your retainer is $150.

What types of shots are included for weddings? Do I need to send a list?

My focus on your wedding day is to capture moments throughout your wedding day, from getting ready details, first look reactions, wedding ceremony, ceremony decor, the long awaited kiss :), family portraits, bridal party & couple's portraits, full reception coverage and any special exits. 

During our consultation call, and a month before your wedding we'll go over any other additional special shots you'd like included.

How do we book with you?

My goal is to make every encounter you have with Photos by Darlenys as convenient as possible. Booking is simply a matter of you saying “let's do this!” and I'll send over an electronic contract with the collection of your choice. After just a few clicks, electronically signing your contract + sending your retainer, we're officially official!

What is your photographic style?

My photographic style is classic & true to life. That means colors will appear close to what your eye normally sees. I use natural and/or artificial light to keep your photos bright (but not too bright). You’ll see the details in your wedding dress, texture of the wedding day flowers, and natural skin tones to give a genuine feeling to your images. You’ll love your photos as much today as you will 30 years from now. You look back at your photos and relive your wedding day!
